Since my event at Cheltenham, I've also been to the Turn the Page Festival in Totnes, to do an event with the marvellous Mr Tom Morgan-Jones, illustrator of Dinosaurs & Dinner-Ladies, and to The Hague, in the Netherlands, to visit the Kinderboekenmarkt (Children's Book Fair) and the British School. A big hello to everyone I met there!

Hello, my name is Hannah and I am doing my homework on you, as an author. I am finding out facts about you. I have read lots on the internet but can I ask a couple questions please?
What was your band called?
Do you have any pets?
I can then show me teacher I really did find out lots about you.
Just finished Dinosaurs & Dinner Ladies, it was very funny and interesting.

Hi, Hannah

Thanks for your message! My band was called The Whole World for a while, and then we renamed it Calvin. I think we were pretty good!

And at the moment I'm in a band called The People's Republic of Groove. It's quite a different sort of band - instead of original music, we do well-known songs (you might not recognise many of them, but your teacher probably would!).

I don't have any pets, I'm afraid.

I'm really glad you enjoyed Dinosaurs & Dinner Ladies. Here's another fact you can tell your teacher: two of the poems in the book (Note to an English Teacher and Aunty Fred) were written while I was still at school.
